Mr. Burr presented a petition for road in the th District, signed by 40 persons: referred ‘ Committee on Improvements. Mr. Magruder objected to any appropriation being made until the ground was examined, and said that the appropriation for roads was nearly expended, the recent rains having ‘Woshed tbe roads terribly. Mr. Burr also reported verbally from the Improvements Committee that they had made an arrangement with Mr. Lewis in regard to Dsilding a road to Piney Branch bridge. Also, that the licenses for bars at the Schuet- veufest had not been paid, but that they had sosurances that the licenses would be paid Mr. Burr, from the same committee, asked Appropriations of $350 for roads in the sixth district, $500 for the 5th, (for graveling,) and 900 for the third.
