New Yor«, April 19.—The Hera'd says —A gentleman who left the City of Mexico en the Sth instant informs the Mexican Legation that Maxifaillian was at that time en route from Queretaro for the City of Mexico accompanied by about 4,000 troops. He was wounded in the right arm, by @ spent ball, the fight at Queretaro, and narrowly escapec capture in one of the mountain passes. The capture of Puebla, by the Liberals, was not generally believed in Vera Crua but duly celebrated by the Liberal forces outside of the city.
