By Mr. Stewart, ere pay i to repair the K street bridge over Mr. Peugh asked if thete was any change of the elevation of the bridge contemplated, and stated that theSame reason for the Georgetown Corporation to be raising the bridges over the canal to aliow boats to pass through tothe river, should bea reason for us to elevate this bridge. Mr. Stewart replied that this was only for temporary repairs, and be donbted whether it would be necessary to elevate the bridge for some months. Mr. Drury urged that this was actually ne- cessary, ind he thought that when it was ne- cessary to raise the dridge, it would be time to consider it. Mr. Wright moved that the expense be chargable to the fund of the First Ward, in- stead of to the general fund.
