Prevost, Harvey and Say- age, aud the children of St. Aloysius Sabbath S<hool, for the tower of the Uhurch, took place in the presence of an immense number of per- sons. The bells, fourim number, which were made for the donors by Joshua Register, of Baliimore, weighed respectively 3,600, isu, |.2), and 500 poands, and were placed ona platform just north of the Church, on which was also the chair for tae Bishop, over which was & cauopy, and seats for the clergy and in- vied guests. The Iedy, soon as she missed it, gave information to ctive Houck, who arrested & Regronamed John Browa. It was | discovered in Baltimore that Brown came to Wasbington on pretence of obtaining bounty due him; bence the suspicion that the pin was concealed in Washington. Detective Houck at once communicated with Detectives Cisrvoe and McDevitt, und came vo this city. With their aid be very soon ascertained that Brown bad sold the pin to Mr. M. Hoffa. a weller, for $35 in mouey and a watch. Mr. Hofts very readily gave 7 the jewel to the Detectives, and Detective Houck returned to Baltimore with it by the evening train.
