C. €roggon and Mr. J. B. Ellis, in place of Mr. Murtagh, the examining trustee, absent on ac- count of illness im hisiamily. There were 59 on tbe roll, all of whom were present, and the examination fully sustained the reputation of the sehool, the scholars being excellent in their studies, especially im arithmetic. At the close the school was addressed Rag Dr. Hamil- ton, of Ryland Chapel, and Mr. Ellis, who ex- preseed their gratification that the exercises bad passed off so successfully. The best classes did well in mental arithmetic and definitions of common words. ‘There were 58 pupils present.
