Workin ‘8 Mass Mretine.—Last eve- ning, a x eeting of the workingmen was seta at Odd Fellows’ Hall, 7th street, under the auspices of the executive committee of the workingmen’s conveation, which was quite largely attended Heald'’s Washington Brass Baud was stationed near the platform, and during the evening enlivened the meeting by discoursing take lm music. Spirited addresses on the eight-hour move- ment and the rights of the workingmen were delivered by Messrs. H. Clay Preuss, Richard Emmons, John L. Hayghe and Geo. W. Fran- eis. Attbe conclusion of the addresses, the Sbair announced that in @ short time another Mass wpeeting would be held, and the meeting adjourned. a FLANYERY'S Srrpro.—Yesterday, accident- ally calling in the studio of Mr. Fiannery, we Were gratified to find a bust of the late George Aiiler, one of the old-time merchants and most respectable citizens of the Metropolis. We anorrstand it is to be cut in marble, to form a portion of the monument ordered by his family to be erected by the Flannery Brothers over his remains in enwood. The bust has been modeled from a small carte de visite, and Mr. F., in the plaster, nas so well succeeded as to ty the family and triends that he will do will do full justice to the marble. Mr. F. has also turned out several copies of his bust of Mayor Wallach, nd also a number of copies of his Lincoln. His bust of Mayor Wallach is hibition at Markriter’s, on 7th street, its jewelry store, on Pennsylvania near the Metropolitan Hotel. Mr. F.s studio is at No. 496 Massachusetts avenue.
