Bower, drunk; dismissed. —————— Granp LARCENTES.—Last night T. Brown, a colored boy, entered the store of Chas. Miller, on D, nesr 13th street, and stole the money drawer containing about 815. Brown was pursued by a Mr. Nagie, and dropped the drawer and escaped temporarily, but Mr. Na- gle subsequently arrested him at the Canter- bury and turned him over to Officer Sullivan, of the Second Ward. A part of the money and & glaziers diamond were recovered from Brown, who was sent to jail for court by Jus- tice Morsell. Mary Jane Jenkins, a white woman, was ar- Tested by Officer T. A. Evans, of the 7th Ward, for the iarceny of about 831 from Henry Jen- kins, colored. The prisoner visited the com- jainant’s house, and seeing his coat lying on a tea she searched the pocket and took the mon- ey. Partof the money was recovered and the ‘isoner was sent to jail forcourtby Justice Fianay. ———e——— Frrr.—Abont 12¥ o'clock this morning, the stable in the alley between K and L streets north and Sth and %th west, was discovered to be burning. It was owned by Admiral Joseph Smith, and oceupied by H. Kinsley, a hack- man.
