Mr. Har- ris was dismissed this morning with his watch and chain and other valuables which had thus been saved. Snyder was dismissed trom the charge of yagrancy, Spencer paid $3 fine, and Peg McCarty and Kate Graves declared that they would pay no fine and were committed to the workhouse. Roundsman Franklin noti- fied Spencer that he would arrest him every ume he was canght in the vicinity of “The Of- fice,” and also told Snyder that hereafter he (Frank in) would visit The Office nightly and pick up every thief or suspicious person he caught there. a Bor PRERY.—Last night, Mr. Chas. Cole- man, whose place of business on 15th st., near New York avenue, was recently destroyed by fire, was knocked down at the corner of Ith and D streets, and robbed of a gold watch and chain and money, amounting to about $300. Fortunately Mr. Coleman identified Joseph Bell, George ‘Wilder, and a man known as Scottie, as the party, and notified Roundsman Franklin, of the Second Ward police. Scottie icked up during the night as a vagrant ona. locked up in the station-house, under the nameof John Shannon. This morning Bell and Wilder went there to hear the trials, and were arrested. Justice Drury heard the evi- dence of Mr. Coleman identifying the pris- oners, and upon the evidence committed them to jail for court.
