They performed Tom Taylor’s fine comedy, «Still Waters Run Deep” in a very acceptable manner. The character of «Brother Potter” was well sustained by Mr. H. W. Beers; that of “Captain Hawke ze” by Mr. E. F. Ten Eyck; “John Mildmay,” by Mr. Bryson Tilley; «Mrs. Mildmay,” by Miss Emma H. Seeley, and “Mrs. Sternhold,” by Mrs. H. W. Edinburg, it is charged, for the last six months has been in the habit, when sent out to make purchases, of retaiming a portion of the money he drew from the clerk. gee Horse STEALING.—On Saturday night, a soldier named Christopher T. Downing com- plamed that his norse had been stolen, and the tact was telegraphed to the different stations, but shortly after officer Goomes brought in the horse, together with a soldier named George H. O'Conner, who had been trying to dispose of it for $25.
