Wilson and Robinson participated. ge Inqvest.—On Saturday afternoon, Coroner ‘Woodward held an inquest at the (Quarter- master’s Hospital, on K street, on the bodies of Wm. Mathews, Thomas W.Smeet, Peter Camp- bell and —— Lamberson, who were killed by the accident near water station No.4, on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, on Friday"fter- noon, and a verdict was rendered that the de- ceased came to their deaths on the afternoon of April 7, 1865, between 12 and 1 o’clock, on the Baltimore and Ono Railroad, at water station No. 4, by a collision between two trains, the one stationary, the other approaching in the Year, the approaching engine said to be No. 120, and that the evidence before the jury points to carelessness on the part of those running the approaching train as the cause of the colliston. he jury also find that the deceased were poor men and had no property. . The engineer of the train running into the train on which the deceased were has been sus- pended Ey Mr. Smith, Master of Transporta- tion, until an investigation can be made by the company. ——————— PREsryTERY oF Potomac.—The spring Meeting of this Presbytery has just closed.
