\ LOCAL NEWS. AMUSEMENTS TO-NIGHT. Grover’s THEATER.—To-night Mr. Setchell will reappear in “Leah the Forsoek,” the per- formance commencing with the laughable furce of “The Toodles” Timothy Toodles, Mr. Dan Setchell. In prepara- tion, and will shortly be presented, the “Datch Governor.” The rich burlesque of ‘Leah the Forsook” convulsed the house last night, and is bound to have arnn. Aside from the fan of the piece, there is some admirable music in it, ‘vocal and metr:mental, and as for the tableaur, “must be seen to be apprecit’ed.” Setch- ell is a hefty gal when he is in good condition, which happens to be his present st*‘us. Forp’s Tuearer—Mr. J. B. Roberts and Miss Alice Gray are mecting with great sac- cess in the grand romantic spectacle of “Faust and Marguerite,” Mr Roberts taking the char- acter of Mepmstophiles and Miss Alice Gray thatof Marguente. Wook and R. A. Steadman, went to the house of Sasie Ureviing, on 12ch street, and after calling for wine refused to pay for & portion they had used. Sasie Creviing appeared As & wi'ness, and testified that she sold the wine. having a license from the Corpo- ration to seli wine. The a ed parties became disorderly, and Susie sent for the police, and had them taken to the station-house, Second Ward, The accused are both soldiers. Justice Miller fined each $5, and turned them over to the military. The justice then turned to Susie and ordered her to pay #25 for selling liquor to soldiers. The justice then sent for the license which Susie Creviing said she had, and it turned out to be an internal revenue license, apparently regularly made out and signed. ‘The justice decided that it was not a license recognized by law, and fined Susie Crevling $20 tor selling liquor without lice from the Corporation. Roundsman Franklio, who made the arrests, and other policemen say that a majority of houses similar to Crevling’s, in the same locality, have internal revenue licenses. a Camry ReEvier.—On Sunday we visited this camp, situated on the 7th street road, just be- youd the Park Hotel, and beautifully located on Ahigh hill.
