Officer Morris came up soon after and arrested Wm. Jores who appeared to be of the crowd. Justice Giberson fined Ross $5.61; but the evi- dence against Jones being insufficient, he was dismissed. SS ASEAULT AND INCENDIARISM.—Last night, aman named Wm Rush, entered a upied py an old man named Jonn endall Green barracks, and took forcible pos- session, after choking the old man till he was senseless After recovering, Uarr complained t Sergeant Armstrong at the barracks, and he by direction of the officer of the day, went to the sbanty. Rush came ont, but before doing ec, fired the shanty. The sergeant gave the alarm, and six men of the guard came to his aid, but for want of water the shanty was de- stroyed.
