—* LOCAL NEWS. AMUSEMENTS TO-NIGHT. GROvER's THEATER.—“The Ticket-of- Lave Man” is announced for to-night again, at Gro- ver’s Theater. The entire cast is a splendid one, and each character is portrayed with a naturalness which is truly refreshing. Foro’s THEATER.—All latt week the beauti- ful pisy, “* Lady Isatel, of East Lynne,” at- tracted full houses at Ford’s, and Mrs. D. P. Bowers won new laurels. The play could no doubt be played successfully many nights more, but Mr. Ford bas made it give way to | new attractions, and to-night Mrs. Bowers | | will appear as « Marie de Fontanges, ” in the famous play of « Plot and Passion.” which has been in preparation tor some time. CanNTERBURY.—The great pantomime com- pany at Oanterbury create much amusement by the performance of the new national trick ahd ccmic pantomime entitled “Harlequin Now-a-days, or the Fairy Union and the Foul Fiend Secession. Besides this, Miss Eva Brent, Miss Ernestine de Fuiber and all of the compa: vy will appear in a varied bill of song, dance snd Ethiopian eccentricity.
