Brroxp’s FuNERAL.—The faneral of Major General John Buford took place yester= day. Attwoo’clock the religions services were held in Rey. Dr. Gurley’s Charch, on New York avenue, and the church was crowded with citizens and soldiers. The wife of the Generul did not attend upon the obsequies, as che is in bad health, and it was necessary that | she should remain in doors during the day, | which was a very inclement one. Rev. Dr. Gurley preached the funeral s¢r- | Mon, and dwelt upon the uncertainties of life and the necessity of a proper preparation for another and & better world. He extolled the virtues and bravery of the deceased. After the sermon, an appropriate prayer was offered by Rev. Mr. Gracey, chaplain of the laté Gen.
