None but the most popular duetts, trios, scenes and whole acts from the best Ger- man, italian and English operas will be given. / —_>—___- Crimimat Covet, Judge Fisher—The Conrt Was occupied the entire day yesterday ia the trial of the case of Adolphus Baker, charged with murder. in pushing a colored boy named Sam, trom a whart in Georgetown, by which be was drowned. The evidence was, that while Sam was stooping on the wharf the priso- ner walked up behind him an t pushed him over board, leaving him to struggie in the warer: that parties on the wharf attempted to recene fim, but without success. It was als evidence thatthe prisoner said he was to push a Mr. Wise overboard, because Mr. pushed him in. The prisoner, it seems, hud been drinking hard, and after his arrest showeid evidences of manid-a-potu. Wilson. — SPRINKLING THE StTRE .—The sprinkling carts of Messrs Price aud Benneit have tor the | past few weeks been doing much towards iaying the dust of the streets and avenues. On Monday and yesterday, however, they did not make their appearance, but the tanlt did not lie with the proprietors of the carts. The plugs ut the corners ot Ninth and Tenth streets baying ot out of order, the water was necessarily cut of at the aqueduet, in order to effect repairs.
