At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Chesapexke and Ohio Canal Company yester- day, in your city, the tolls on cual were in- creased one-sixteenth cent per ton per mile, making the tolls five-sixteenth cent instead of one-fonrth cent per ton per mile, or 57% cents instead of 46 cents per ton for the whole dis- tance. Itis thonght this increase will give the canal company at least $25,000 additional toll annually. 2 Col.
