The rebels sheiled our camp nearly all day. About 3o’clock in the after- noon Gen. Sigel ordered Col. Krzyzanoweki (act- ing Brigadier) to cross the river. He did so, and drove the enemy’s pickets in. About th's time, Generals Sigel, Schurz, and Bohbien crossed over in person. It was the 7ith Peansylvania which drove thelr pickets.
