The vessel is in fine eondition, and the preparations for a war- like demonstration of the most thorough char- acter, and so disposed as to be ready for use on short notice. The Fulton has hauled into the wharf for inspection, and a fow days it is thought will suffice to fit her for sea again, when she will probably be joined to the Gulf squadron. The account that a marine was lost overboard from the Fulton, on her way up the Paraguay river, is said to be true, but we could not learn the missing man’s namo.
