H>€yphus, colored, was'buried on Sunday from the residence of his aged mother, on Cider alley, near Eutaw street, and the funeral was largely attended by the colored draymen and oth- ers of his acquaintances. The fourth funeral, that of Henry C. Gambrill, took place at three o'clock, Sunday afternoon, from the residence of his parents. The line of car- riages, about ninety in number, extended over a balf mile, and were all filled. The funeral train proceeded to Baltimore Cemetery, where the in- terment took place. It is worthy of remark that Richard Harris, the party charged by deceased with having killed officer Benton, was at the fam- ily residence and amongst the mourners in the carriages. And be it ordained, That the Collector shall settle his account of his collections by virtue of this ordinance, with the Clerk, by the ist of January next, at which time a list of all insolvent tax payers shall be presented by the Collector to the Cor ition for their allowance, in default of which the Collector shall be charged by the Clerk with interest monthly thereafter for any deficiency not paid over; and the Collector is hereby autbor- ized and required to charge interest on any taxes levied under this ordinance remaining unpaid from and after the Ist of January next, and in set- tling his account, he shall be allowed as commis- sion for bis services, at the rate of three per cent., on all the meney collected by tim and paid over to the Corporation: Provided.
