The act occurred about twelve o'clock Saturday night; and the screams of the woman for help were heard by Watchmen Hor- ner and Christopher severai Mares diatant Stewart was arrested in the atable, after a despe- rate Sight with Watchmen Donnelly and Kid- well. From an ordinary brick building, with square windows, flat ceiling, and general unin- viting aspect, it now stund« forth a beautifal gothic tem n all save the want of a tower, which will also be added at no distant day. The interior presents a most agreeable aspect to the eye of taste in its high arching roof with grained mouldings and stucco embellishments, and the neat arrangement of the chancel, together with the appropriate devices with whica the walls weadorned.
