At four o'clock, p. m., they came into court witha @ verdi:t of murder in the first degree as to Ch: Barrett; and Henry Williams guilty of man. slangbter. The prisoner, Barrett. evinced con- siderable emotion when the verdict was an- uounced—bursting into tears he was unable to repress until he arrived at the jail.
