When his body came to be removed from the vanlt to the grave Charlestown, the coffin was opened, and the corpse presented a singularly fiorid and life-like appearance. ‘Phis fact gave rise to romors that he had been burie@alive. ‘Phe ductors on Mon- day pronounced the body lifeless. ‘Tuesday the report was spread that the dead man was re<us- eltated by the electricity attending a violent thunder storm, and hundreds besieged the house to getasizht ofthe body. The body wes again examined carefully by physicians and declared lifeless ; though still presenting the same life- like appearance. What adds interest to the oc- currence is, that Mr. Jones, while Bving, hed several times cone iuto the trance state and ex- hibited singular phenomena. The remains were to be reconveyed to their resting place on Satur- day. ARRIVALS AT THE HOTELS.
