FOK ALL THE PURPOSES OF A FAMILY PHYSIC, #PHERE HAS LONG EXISTED A PUBLIC demand for an effective Purgative Pill which could be relied on as sure and perfectly safe in its operation. ‘his has been prepared to meet that demaad, and an extensive trial of its virtues has conclusively shown with what success it accom- plishes the pur, designed. It is easy to make a physical bi , but not so easy to make the best of all Pills--one which should have none of the objections, but all the advantages of every other. ‘Tits bas been attempted here, and with what suc- cess We would respectfully submit to the public decision. It has been unfortunate for the patient hitherto that almost every purgative medicine is nerimonious and tr.\tating tothe bowels. This ignet. Many of them produce so much griping pain and revulsion in the system as to more than counterbalance the good to be derived from them These Pills produce no trritation or palo, unless it arises from a previously existing obstruction or derangement in the bowels Being purely veze~ table, no harm can arise from thelr use inan quantity; but itis better than any medicine shoul ve taken judiciously. Minute directions for their use In the several diseases to which they are ap- plicable are given on the box. Among the com- plaints which have been speedily cured by them we may mention Liver Complaint, in its varieus forms of Jaundice, Indigestion, Languor and Loss of Appetite, Listlessness, Irritability, B lous Headache, Bilious Fever, Fever and A ue, Pain im the Side and Loins, for in truth, all these are but the consequence of diseased action of the liver. As (orl ketene omer le and sure telief in Costiveness, Piles, Colic, Dysentery, Humors, Scrofula and Scurvy, Colds, with sore- ness of the brdy, Ulcers and impurity of the biood ; in short any and every case where # purga tive Is required. They have also produced some singularly suc- cessful cures in Rheamatism,Gout, Dropsy, Grav el, Erysipelas, Palpitation of the Heart, Pains in the Back, Stomach and Side. They should be freely taken in the spring of the — to purify the blood and prepare the system ror the change of seasons. An occasional dose stimulates t stomach into healthy action, and restores the a} tite and vigor. They purify the blood, and by their stimulant action on the circulatory system, renovate the strength of the bos, and restore the wasted or diecased energies of the whole organ- ism. Hence an occasional dose is advantageous even though no serious derangement exists; but unnecessary dosing should never be ci too far, as every purgative medicine reduces the strength, when taken toexcess. The thousand cases In which a pliysic is required cannot beenu- merated here. but they suggest themselves to the reason of ev body; and it is confidently be lieved this pili will answer a better purpose than anything which bas hitherto been available to manking When their virtnes are once known the poe will no longer doubt what remedy to employ when in meee et an oe mors ing sugar wr. ey are pleasant to take, and Deng purely ‘vegetable, no harm can arise from their use in any quantity. 3 For minute directions see the wrapper on the 20x PREPARED BY DB.
