We have no doubt that such was the inten- tion of the directors of their counsel, subse- quently abandoned, however, because those whom they have been spurring, lashing, bully- ing, and browbeating, were inno temper to be put through the drill that usually takes place on such occasions. The Mission to England.—Perceiving it announced by telegraph that the mission to England has been tendered to the Hon. Geo. M. Dallas, of Pa., we have to remark that up to this time, we did not feel at liberty to state the fact, as we obtained the information in a manner in which we felt it to be obligatory on us to say nothing about it until the Govern- ment thought fit to make it public.
