We repeat what we stated yesterday, that the coutestants for the prize will start at 9 e’clock in the morning, the steamer Mount Vernon following them to Fort Washington, in order that the passongers thereon may have every opportunity to witness the stirring in- cidents. The last named vessel has been ex pressly chartered by the enterprising progec- tor of the Regatta, Mr. Wm. L. Jones, who has fixed the price of passage at the reason- able sum of fifty cents. The steamer will eel at Alexandria for passengers, both going and returning. A Regatta on such an extensive scale will be anovelty on the Potomac river; and hence it is reasonable to presume that theusands of persons will avail themselves of the opportu- nity afforded to witness the race.
