If the parties were known, there is a law for their punishment, and a law that wou!d hardly fail to be en- forced by any jury summoned to act in the Criminal Court. —_ Fire ALanms.—Last night a number of young men passed through the Secend Ward yelling fire! They were no doubt anxious to got the firemen out of their beds, and have a run. ‘Their yells aroused a number of citl- zeus, but failed to bring out the companies. We were told this morning that the blame should not attach to the young men, as Cep- tain Whicky was the sole cause. This ig pos sible, as we know the captain is very mis- chievous at times.
