Producers William Pine and Wil- liam Thomas took a cast and crew of more than two hundred to a re- mote section of Florida to film this action drama. Pelice Work in Paris Revealed, Capifol's Bill A breath-taking story of police work in Paris, filmed in the French | capital and with an all-star Ameri- ican and continental cast, comes to Ithe screen as “The Man on the Eiffel Tower,” photographed in Ansco Color. This feature comes to | the Capitol Theatre tonight. Produced by Irving Allen and Franchot Tone, and distributed by RKO Radio, the picture presents Charles Laughton as a famous Pa- risian detective who is certain of a murderer’s identity but has no cvidence he can bring into court. And this campaign, plus the romantic {roubles of a rich young American whose aunt is the Kkiller’s victim, comprise the unique plot of the film, which builds up to a stirring cli- max on the Eiffel Tower. Bracketed with Laughton in the star roster are Franchot Tone as; the suspect, Burgess Meredith as the .latter's weak-minded dupe, Robert Hutton as the American, Jean Wallace and Patricia Roc as the women in Hutton’s life, and Belita as Meredith’s wife.
