Gel- otte, Brooklyn, New York became the bride of Mr. Edward R. Hruby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hruby, r. Reymond Gelotte The bride wore a gown of moss? crepe and embroidered lace, with matching fingertip veil, and carried a bouquet of pale pink roses, with white sweet peas and stephanotis. The matron of honor wore a yellow ndy dress with a corsage of roses and a white gardenia. e reception was held after the ceremony at the Hotel Halsingland in Port Chilkoot. Assisting in cut- > cake were Mrs. Herbert lifcrd, and Mrs. Herbert Stelt- Arlington, Va., in a 4 o’clock candle- |; light service at the Haines Presby- terian Church, Haines, Alaska, June 17. Harris of the death of her father, Thomas Ashby in Tacoma on June 20. Ashby is one of the original Ju- neau settlers coming here in 1884. Prohibition put him out of business so he returned | to prospecting the Taku country, | Montana Creek and Chichagof 1s-| land. 1 Two years ago he went south to take care of his brother and slster-[ in-law. He was born January 12, 1865 1n| Harrison County, Missouri. Besides his daughter here, he is survived byl another daughter, Dorothy Kessler, and a son, Charles Ashby in Seat- tle, nine grandchildren and nine zreat grandchildren, including grand children Lila and Tom Harris and Billy West, a great grandson in Juneau.
