Kyle, of Gary, Indiana, is due to arrive this afternoon to make an official visitation to Juneau Lodge No. 420, B. P. O Elks. Mr. Kyle is accompanied by his wife and Past Grand Exalted Ru- ler Emmett T. Anderson, of Taco- ma, Wash. Several members of the Elks lodges from the Westward are also in the party. The leader of over a million Elks is to be greeted at the airport by Wallis S. George, Exalted Ruler of Juneau 420 and a large group of! local Elks. The party will be es- corted to Juneau by the Alaska Highway Patrol, arriving at the| Baranof Hotel where a crowd will gather along with the Juneau High School Band. A brief but impressive program has been arranged and the younger citizens of the area are especially invited to attend the ceremonies. The members of Elkdom wiil have the opportunity to meet their leader and his official party at a cocktail hour in the Baranof Hotel following the dedication ser- vice. Later, at €:30 p.m. Mr. Kyle will be guest of honor at a no-hest banquet in the Baranof Hotel Gold Room. A special lodge meeting is scheduled to follow the banquet with the Past Exalted Rulers of Ketchikan giving the degree work. Mr. and Mrs. Kyle will remain in Juneau until Sunday departing via Pan American for Seattle. Juneau welcomes back Past Grand Exalted Ruler Emmett T. Anderson. The citizens of this area will remember Mr. Anderson for his splendid dedication address of the ambulance given by thelocal Elks to the people of this area. The Grand Exalted Ruler has appointed Mr. Anderson to represent him in all affairs of the Order in Alaska. Among the many visiting Elks is Charles D. Garfield, a charter member and the senior Past Ex- alted Ruler of Juneau Lodge 420. Mr. and Mrs. Garfield arrived from Seattle yesterday and plan to stay in Juneau for several days. District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler Southeast Alaska Dave L. Stevenson, of Skagway also is among those present for this big event.
