Oity pdlice arrested the man, Richard MCcRoberts, . charging him with . being’ drunk and destroying private property. They said McRob- erts did pot live in the building. Firemen said the davenport was apparently set afire by a cigarette. Damage was confined to the daven- port, they declared. The alarm was sounded at 3:30 a.m., Sunday. City Magistrate F. O. Eastaugh sentenced McRoberts to 20. days in the city jail on each of the two sounts charged.
