F. Roelke has been named as chief accountant and teller, replacing Tom Crooks, who resigned recently to accept the position of cashier of the Bank of Kodiak. Roehlke, for the past four years jhas been with the B. M. Behrends Bank as teller and prior to that was with the Commercial Bank of Tilla- mook, Oregon. He will take over his new duties with Alaska Federal Savings and Loan on Monday, July 17. RELIEF SOCIETY SETS | ANNUAL BAZAAR DATE | The Relief Soclety of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Juneau Branch recently held a business meeting. The date for their annual bazaar was set for Saturday, December 2. The previous pazzars have always been held the first Saturday in Decem- ber in the Parson Electric Store. Miss Shirley Cole is chairman of the bazaar committee with Mrs. Fred Martin and Mrs. Roy Clift assistants. At this same meeting the annual summer baked food sale was dis- cussed and tentatively planned for the first part of August. In addi- tion to baked food the sale of salads was also discussed.
