Bids for contracts to build the | school were opened here, and it was found that the lowest of these, | by Sam Bergeson of Tacoma, Wash., | was for $1,395,000. | the bureau’s branch of buildings and only $820,000 for the project. He | said that the bureau has $182,000 ot this on hand, with the remaining | funds included in an appropriations bill now before Congress. | High bidder among the 11 who | submitted estimates, Allen = said, was Morrison-Knutson of Seattle, Wash., who bid $2,097,000. | Allen said the project calls for | construction of eight buildings.
