" MRS. EDWARD BARTLETT, ALASKAN PIONEER, DIES IN NELSON, ~ WISCONSIN | Mrs. Edward Bartlett, mother of Delegate E. L. Bartlett passed away at her family home in Nelson, Wis- consin, on Tuesday following an ill- ness, of six months. Mrs. Bartlett, who was 85 years of age, is survived by her son, two granddaughters, Doris Ann and Susie Bartlett, and two sisters, Miss Eva Daverspike and Mrs. Henry Rill of Nelson, Wis- consin Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Bartlett in Seattle on October 17. Final interment will be in the family pot in the Washelli Ceme- tery near Seattle. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Bartlett will go south to at- | tend the funeral services and Miss Daverspike will accompany the re- mains from Wisconsin. > Mrs. Bartlett, who was an Al- askan pioneer, came north with her husband in 1898. They went into Dawson over the Dyea Trail in the Chilkoot Pass. Mrs. Bartlett resided in Alaska for 45 vears and lived at Fairbanks, Circle Springs, Kan- tishna and Miller House. For sev- eral years she made her home in Juneau with her son and daughter- in-law.
