The lot on Seward Street, given by the City for the erection of a permanent library building, to be struction. This pew location has many ad- vantages. Two rooms in the base- ment and on the first floor can be incorporated in the library, the basement rooms providing adequate fireproof space for the C. L. Cement for the building has ar- rived and has been paid for. How- ever, after paying for the cement, the library building fund was left without a penny. A new means of sing money must be found im- mediat —as the buiiding must be completed and the books moved be- fore September. Work has staited on the new loca- tion for the Standard Oil gas tanks, south of the road leading to the dock. The actual moving will be done by an exvert crew of men who are expected to arrive in August and the job will be completed by September.
