Statistics, released here to-| day, proved that statement. In the first place, Gomez topped the junior loop chuckers with 26 victories and: but five defeats. He had the best earned run average of 233 per game. In addition, he pitched the most innings during| the season—292. He also led in complete games hurled, throwing 25 full-time affairs.
