F,IS#ERMEHB JON, STRIKE Agreemenit. o Pride Ha Not Béen Made—Final Action Tomarrow , Juneau trollers Saturday night voted to support the action taken by the Ketchikan trollers in de- claring a strike in salmon fishing if buying was not resumed today by market at the agreed rate. Buyers offer 5. cents per pound for silvers and whites as against 8 and 7 cents which were agreed upon at the ‘beginning of the sea- son, declaring that this is a fair price and that the grade of sal- mon -does not justify the previous rate. Trollers say that they will not now start fishing again if they are forced to strike, unless the price of kings is boosted two cents per pound, 'which would ‘make them worth 16 cents for large. and 10 cents for small in the local market. However, they are willing to go ahead with the same rate for| which they have been selling so far, provided that they can: dispose of the catch immediately. It is said that buyers may not; begin buying again until the mid- {dle of July if their offer is not ac- cepted, and possibly not at that time. Final action on the proposed strike is expected to go into effect by tomorrow, by which time it will be known whether or not the fishermen’s terms will be acceded to. e, 'HAWAIIAN SHIP IN SEATTLE FOR ALASKA SERVICE (Seattle .
