Johnson | | Held in Seattle Next Thursday SEATTLE, March 13.—Negotia- tions to fix the salmon price schedule for the ensuing year will be undertaken between fishermen and fish buyers after the Trollers’ convention to be held here Thurs- day. The convention is to be at- tended by representatives of fleets from California and Alaska. The announcement as made by Wood Freeman, President of the Trollers and Vessel Owners Asso- ciation, who said all local salmon trollers’ craft are remaining in port pending the outcome of nego- tiations, not as a strike move but in order to prevent price fluctua- tions. Freeman said that if necessary trolling boats might cease fishing for two months or so during the scason until the market got in proper shape. “Producers wish to keep the market in 4 healthy -condition, controlling the supply and prevent a glut. of salmon,” id Freeman.
