Due to inclement weather during the months of! January and February, the pack was not large and the earnings of the diggers was negligible.! Therefore in order to give employ- ment to any person desiring work the two clam carperies at Cor- — dova operating, it has been deemed advisable by the U. S. Bureau of Fisheries to open the season dur- ing the month of March, Mr. Winn announced. Razor Clams Regulations The razor clam regulations in the three areas in the Seward- {Katalla district have been amend- | | ed, extending the periods durin: which clams may be taken for, commercial purposes. I The new regulations provide that razor clams may be taken for commercial purposes during the period from January 1 to June 30, dates inclusive. However, ! during this period the total case pack is not to exceed twenty thou- | sand cases, containing 48 one-haif pound “tins. The new regulations | further provide that razor clams | may be taken for commercial pur- poses during the period from Aug- ust 16, to December 31, both dates inclusive, limiting the total case pack to ten thousand cases. ‘The previous regulation prohib- ited the digging of razor clams for commercial purposes during the periods from March 1 to April 4, and from July 1 to August 31. Piles Go Quick No Salves—No Cutting Thousands who have itching, bleeding or protruding piles have not yet learnéd that quick and lasting relief can only be accom- plished with an internal medicine. Neither salves nor suppositories remove the' cause. i Bad circulation of blood in lhel lower bowel causes piles. The hemorrhoidal veins are flabby, the bowel walls weak—the parts almosf. dead. To get rid of Piles an in- ternal medicine must be used to stimulate the circulation, drive out the thick impure blood; heal and restore the affected parts. Dr. J. S. Leonhardt, after years of study, found a real internal Pile remedy. He called his discovery HEM-ROID, and prescribed it for 1000 patients with success in over 900 cases, and then decided every Pile sufferer, no matter how stub- |born their vase, might try his pre- scription ‘with 'a money back guar- antee. HEM-ROID tablets have such a wonderful record of success that Juneau Drug Co. and all good|y druggists invite you to try HEM- ROID and guarantee money m-[ funded if it does not end your Pile| misery. —adv, ¢! in the clam industry and to keep ‘" NOVELTIES - PRIZES Candy Dance | SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE EVERGREEN GARDENS in the Goldstein' Building Under the Auspices of the Loyal Order of Moose DON'T MISS THIS DANCE!
