High School 240 0 6 STUDENTS LOITER ON WAY Before a fairly large numbet of spectators in the Juneau High School gymnasium last evening, the Juneau High School basket- ball team experienced its first des feat of the season. The studenis were beaten by the Douglas Fire- men by ‘the deeisive score of 23 to 6. In. the first quarter, the High School athletes registered the first basket of the game, but they garnered no other points in this period, while their opponents ass- embled 6. l Show Winning Flash ars showed a winning flash. They scored two baskets to the Fire- men's one. That was all for the students. They were stopped com- pletely in the last two quarters, being unable to make a single point while the smoke eaters romp- ed away with fifteen additional talies. There was much rough play at times. The graduates ran away with the game from the beginning. Within a fow minutes after the start of t first quarter the result was n in doubt.
