ARE TO REPAIR DURING LAY-OFF SEATTLE, Nov. 8.—Halibut boats are preparing for the closed season which begins November 15 and ends MFebruary 15. Fifteen boats ate to be overhauled and repaired during the lay-off preparatory to the next fishing season. Practically all boats operated out of here, the largeg being the Port- lock and Albatross, especially on the Yakutat banks in Alaska, report a good season.
