J,, Aug. 8—The Graf Zeppelin took off at 11:40 o'clock last night on a flight around the world There are 22 passengers aboard, one a woman, and the possibility that a stowaway had been success- ful in hiding himself in some of the dim recesses of the great bag.; Seven passengers have taken pas- sage for the entire trip which in- cludes stops at Friedrichshafen, Mlssmg Danish Ship Belleved Afloat | ‘Tokio, and Los Angcles, before the Zeppelin returns to Lakehurst, which is expected to be in abouf| one month. ROARING ALONG NEW YORK, Aug. 8.—Messages from the Graf Zeppelin herself and ships that have sighted her at sea indicate she is roaring along over the first part of her flight a rate of 100 miles an hour, a rate 15 miles an hour faster than her maximum speed, presumably due to strong tail winds.
