The experience gained from past administrations i= sufficient to warrant the adoption of this plan. There is no department of the city that requires a business administration as much as the Street De- partment since it spends more of the Taxpayers’ moncy than any other de- partment and calls on the Mayor for advise constantly. It is not the aim of the Citizens’ Efficiency Ticket to make the Mayor a regular City Manager but it is the aim of the Citizen’s Efficiency Ticket to combine the Mayor and Street Commissioner’s offices as long u- it is possible to find a man qualified to fill both offices. Thomas B. Judson is a man who will be a credit to Juneau as Mayor and will save the City of Juneau thousands of dollars a year as Street Com- missioner. The Citizens’ Efficiency Ticket has given this matter serious thought and know that if the Juneau taxpayers want 100 per cent cfficiency which means Paved Streets, Concrete Sewers, Beautiful School Buildings and everything that goes to make the Capital City the attraction of Alaska they will vote the Citizens’ EfficiencyeTicket straight.
