Nrw OrLeans, April 10.—The Democratic caucus Is to-night considering an Informal proposition of the Conunission to this, efect, that the Legislature be reorganized with seven Returning-Board memborsof the Packard Houso in place of the persons seated under contest by the Nicholls House. The result would be a small Democratie. majority in both Houses. An answer will be returned to-night, but the Com- mission will not sit untll to-morrow. If the answer is favorable the Commission will remnin here several days to supervise the sdjustment, If unfavorable it will Jeave immediately for Washington, Tho Commisslon {8 not author- {zed to make an adjustment except with TUE CONSENT OF DOTII PARTIES. If a sufliclent number of tho Packard Homso will not agree to this wrangement, it cannot be made.
