An Intoresting Afier-Talk Between Judge Blatchford and Plain- tiff’s Counsel, Special Dispatch to The Chicago Tribune, New Yon, July 16.—The argument in the caso of Charles A. Bir. Bortlett, in roply, contondod that tho liliol if 'any, was committod in this Btato, snd should bo tricd hero; that the Coustitution required trial by jury; that tho Judiciary act provided’ for tho arrest of offoudors and their trisl, not before tho Police Court of thae City of Wash- ington, bub bLefora courts provided -for. in that act, and that thero could bo no aflidavit in the caso without perjury.
