This step, on the part of Mr. Armour, is just tho one that ought to havebeen taken several months 8go, when the trouble with Munn & Scott’s re- coipts originated. There was then a rather widesprend fear thet money was lent on grain receipts which could not be redeemed if present- £d in company with an empty vessel. \Whether or not there wero then any grounds for this fear, there need be mone now, as the validity of the receipts i3 eseured without doubt.
