SUNDAY, NOVEMBER.15, 1925 MOM'N POP---Too Late! MOM.I MET MRS. TYTES NIECE TODAY- SHE'S QUITE A CHARMING COME, Texas Turkey Belt Reports Shortage For Thanksgiving CUERO, Tex., Nov. 14.—(United Press}—Folks who vrually vote on whether to take in the Thanksgiving football ‘game or have a turkey din- ner this year will be forced to call the election early or do without the turkey. And the farmer with a flock of turkeys in his back yard will prob- ably be overcome by a financial complex just before Thanksgiving and treat his family to pork dinner. This town where the “Turkey Trot’ originated some 20 years ago is doing without its annual festival this fall on account, partially, to lack of turkeys. In the midst of the “turkey belt” in Texas, there are but few turkeys. “It’s the drouth.” residents say. "Even the grasshoppers were burned out.” The Texas turkey crop this year is estimated at 30 per cent less than last. Dallas produce men predicted “much higher” prices will be paid for turkeys this year than last. pb cee: 2 THERMOPOLIS “OSPITAL WILL TRAIN NURSES THERMOPOLIS, Wyo., Nov. 14.— (Special)—Dr. A. C.
