YELLOWSTONE PARK, Wyo., Aug. 20.—"Buffalo Plains Week” on the buffalo ranch of Yellowstone Na- tional park, to be held during the latter part of August, will without doubt be the largest side attraction to be offered the tourists of the park this summer, according to Superin- tendent Horace M. Albright, who re- cently announced the plans for the entertainment of the late August tourists. Leaving Mammoth or Canyon sta- tions of the park, patrons will be driven to the buffalo ranch in the regular tourist busses, where upon arrival they will lunch in the beau- tiful cottonwood groves. Shortly afterwards they will be loaded aboard the stage coaches of earlier days and transported three miles east to the buffalo range, fording enroute the Lamar river. Four and six horse teams will draw the coaches to a raised plateau above the range where the buffalo will be driven down the valley into the round-up. The round-up of the famous Lamar river herd of buffalo, now numbering more than 800 animals, the same which have been used in several film depictions of western frontiers, will stage a performance of stupendous proportions, and one which will not soon be forgotten. The Crow Indians, bedecked in their costumes and war paints, will again be established in a section once their own stamping grounds. In the drive of the buffalo they will Spend Your tude 8,000 feet.
