THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 1925 | By MARY TOBIN Clare-Burchell Engagement Is Announced Wednesday Of interest to the many friends of the couple will be the announcement of the engagement of Miss Marie Kathryn Clare of this city to Sam- uel Burchell of Denver. The news was made known at an informal bridge party given last evening by Miss Clare's cousin, Miss Agnes Clare, at her home, 805 East Third street. The wedding will take place at Boulder, Colo., Tuesday, Septem- ber 15. Red hearts cleverly arranged and leading from the lighting fixtures to the basket of flowers, the center piece, were used for the decorations. At the close of the evening, little Jimmy Clare, nephew of the bride- elect, entered the room, giving to ach guest 4 small pasteboard heart, on which was written the names of Miss Clare and Mr. Burchell. Mtss Clare is a daughter of John J, Clare of Cortland, Neb., and has been a resident of Casper for the last three years, making her home here with her uncle, T. A. Clare. On completing her education in Ne- braska, Miss Clare moved to Dou. where she Hved for some time be- fore coming to@asper. She is book- keeper for the Rialto Theater com- pany and has numerous friends here. Mr. Burchell, who was a former resident of this city, moved to Den- ver last spring, where he is now associated with the McCarthy-John- son Contracting company. From Spalding, Neb., his former home, he Went to Omaha whére he completed his education, after which he came to Casper and was connected here with the Schank Plumbing company.
