TRADE TRIP TE BREAK RECORD Casper’s annual trada excursion. promises this year to be one of the most successful pilgrimages ever staged by the Casper Chamber of Commerce. The trade and good will trippers will leave here in cars on the morning of Tuesday, July 18, vis- iting Powder River, Waltman, Wol- ton, Moneta, Shishoni, Riverton, St. Stephens, Hudson and Lander the first day. The party will spend the night in Lander and proceed the next day through Thermopolis, Kirby, Neiber, Worland, Manderson and Basin, making their second night's stop in Basin, The third day will see the excur- sionists visiting Greybull, Lowell, Cowley, Deaver, Frannie, Garland, Powell, Ralston and Cody. On the fourth day they will visit Meeteetse, Grass Creek, Gebo and remain overnight in Thermopolis. The fifth day will be spent chiefly in visiting the same towns called on the first day with the exception of Arminto, which is added to the itin- erary. > ALLEY BETWEEN DURBIN AND WOLCOTT PAVED BY PROPERTY OWNERS The Warren Construction company has a force of men excavating and leveling the block of alléy running east and west between Wolcott and Durbin street off East Second, pre- paratory to paving with Warren bit- ulithic surfacing. Property owners facing East Second between these two streets, secured the consent of the city council to have this work done and have negotiated the matter privately with the paying company. The work is being done on a cash basis. A concrete curb, 12 inches in width will be used on each side of the alley and the bitulithic surfacing in between, This type of paving for alleys 1s declared to be desirable and permanent, Paving of this block of alley will eliminate a winter mudhole, which has been the source of much incon- venience to business firms in this block in the past. The Warren company has a large force of men engaged now under the supervision of Ben Robertson, supér- tendent of the local plant, patching up holes in the efty pavement caused by penetrations to water mains.
