WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15, 1925 { Park By MARY TOBIN Mahoney-Barton Engagement Is Announced at Luncheon. Although “the more intimate friends of the family have known of the engagement just announced of Miss Kathryn Mahoney, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Ma- Honey, of 904 South Center street, to Ralph Elton Barton, more formal announcement of the betrothal was made at a luncheon and bridge party given today at the Country club by Miss Mahoney's sister, Mrs. Oliver G. Johnson. The news was made known by novelty automo- bile place cards in which cupids were riding, announcing the enguge- ment and the date of the wedding which will be on May 6. Miss Mahoney following her gtaduation from the Natrona county high school, studied music for three years at the Northwestern univer- sity at Evanston, Ill., where she re- ceived her certificate, and since which, she has been an instructor of the music department of the Casper schools. She is a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota national music sorority. Mr. Barton is the only son of Mr. and Mrs.’. E. Barton of Colfax, Ia., and has since coming to Casper five years ago been connected with the Casper National bank. Mr. Barton fs a graduate of the Colfax high school and studied at the Iowg un!- | * versity. ‘The decorations for the party were carried out in yellow, a huge bas- ket of spring flowers being used as a center piece for the large table with candles of yellow adding much to the decorative scheme. Jones and Mrs. Edmund M eee Formal Party Is Enjoyable Affair Tuesday Evening One of the large and enjoyable events of the week was the ‘formal dancing party given last evengng at the Casper country club, by 4 and Mrs. W. L. Connelly and their neice, Miss Margaret Dougherty. The ball room was attractively dec- orated with huge baskets of spring flowers and palms. Lunch was served throughout the evening and @ supper served at midnight. Music was furnished by the Curtz orches- tra, with Frank Trozel on the sax- aphone. Invited guests were: Mr. and Mrs. R. M.
